Meriden church of Christ (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, online forms, online giving, email, and text messaging, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us, such as your name, email address, mobile phone number, mailing address, and anything else you choose to share when you fill out a visitor card, connect card, sign-up, prayer request, or contact form.
- Giving information. Online gifts are processed by our giving provider (Tithe.ly). We do not receive or store your full card or bank account numbers.
- Basic website data, such as your browser type and pages visited, which our hosting and security providers collect automatically to keep the site running and secure. Some pages include embedded videos (for example, YouTube), which may set their own cookies.
How we use your information

- To respond to prayer requests and questions
- To record and acknowledge contributions
- To send text messages to people who have agreed to receive them (see Text messaging below)
How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate our ministry, such as our church management system (Planning Center), our giving provider (Tithe.ly), our text messaging provider (Clearstream), and our website and email hosting providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Text messaging
If you provide your mobile number and agree to receive text messages from Meriden church of Christ, we will use it to send church updates, event reminders, and ministry communications. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver our messages.
How we protect your information
We use secure (HTTPS) connections and trusted providers, and we limit access to personal information to church staff and volunteers who need it to serve you.
Your choices
You may ask us to update or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, at any time by contacting us below. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, and from texts by replying STOP.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
